Dr. Awuor is a board certified neurosurgeon and former chair of the department of surgery at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, OhioHealth Pickerington Methodist Hospital, and Ohiohealth Grove City Methodist Hospital. He holds a bachelor of science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his neurosurgery training at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. Dr Awuor enjoys teaching neurosurgery residents and medical students both here in the United States and internationally. He has authored many peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and his interests include neurotrauma, neuro-oncology, spine deformity surgery, and international neurosurgery. Dr. Awuor is one of the founders of the Kisumu Neuroscience Initiative, an organization that provides neurosurgical services in Kenya.
