Dr. X. Sean Xin is a AOA board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in surgical neuro-oncology at the Bon Secour Mercy Health St.Vincent Neuroscience Institute. He has a bachelor's of science in biochemistry and molecular biology from Penn State University Schreyer Honors college and graduated from Western University of Health Science in 2011 with Doctor of Osteopathy. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and was awarded resident of the year in 2017. In 2018, Dr.Xin completed a fellowship in surgical neuro-oncology at City of Hope National Medical Center. He has expertise in complex brain tumor surgery and spinal oncology and has clinical interest in minimally invasive brain and spine surgery as well as interest in functional neuroanatomy, brain mapping, and machine learning. He is a member American College of Osteopathic Surgeones(ACOS), the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO), as well as an associate member of American Society of Functional Neuroradiology (ASFNR). He enjoys traveling and photography.
