Kaveh N. Najafi, DO FACS, is a Trauma/Surgical Critical Care surgeon currently serving as the Trauma Medical Director at HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center. Dr. Najafi's career is marked by a steady progression of leadership roles in trauma care and surgical education. He has been a key figure at HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center since January 2017, where he has held various positions including Chief of General Surgery and Resident Site Director for multiple residency programs. His educational background includes a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed in 2006. Dr. Najafi further honed his skills through a general surgery residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and a Surgical Critical Care fellowship at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. Dr. Najafi is board-certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. His expertise extends to advanced surgical techniques, including certification in the Da Vinci Surgical System. Throughout his career, Dr. Najafi has contributed significantly to medical research, presenting on topics such as chest and abdominal trauma management, traumatic hemorrhage control, and ultrasound-guided procedures in critical care settings.
