Soumya Malhotra, BA, MS, OMS-III, is a medical student at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. With a strong background in neurobiology and biology from Boston University, she has combined her scientific foundation with extensive clinical and translational research experience at institutions such as the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Boston Medical Center. She has authored and co-authored publications spanning oncology, neurology, and public health, and has presented her work nationally at conferences including the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American Headache Society. Beyond research, Student Doctor Malhotra is a dedicated leader and advocate. She currently serves as DEI Officer for the American Medical Association–Medical Student Section and is actively involved in initiatives with the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Association of Women Surgeons, and National Student Osteopathic Medical Association. Student Doctor Malhotra's interests include cardiothoracic surgery, oncology, and neurology, with a long-term goal of contributing to advancements in surgical innovation and patient-centered care. Outside of medicine, she remains committed to community service and global outreach.
