Jaschar Shakuri-Rad, DO, FACOS, Medical Director of Robotic Surgery and Medical Director of Medical Specialties at Mon Health Medical Center, is a nationally recognized urologic surgeon, innovator, and medical leader dedicated to advancing patient care through technology and education. Based in Morgantown, West Virginia, he has pioneered numerous regional “firsts” in minimally invasive surgery, including single-port and next-generation robotic platforms.
A graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated first in his class, Dr. Shakuri-Rad completed his urology residency and chief residency through the Michigan State University consortium and University of Michigan Health. He has earned multiple distinctions as a Master Surgeon and Surgeon of Excellence in Robotic Surgery and has been honored with recognitions such as Innovator of the Year and the “Movers and Shakers in Health Care” award.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Shakuri-Rad is a leading med-tech entrepreneur. He founded Rad Robotic Surgery and UroConsult Experts, LLC, and serves as Managing Partner at STELA. His collaborations with Intermed Labs and global device companies such as Intuitive Surgical have produced patented technologies, including advanced tools for sacral neuromodulation and robotic single-port surgery.
A frequent national lecturer, he has presented on the future of robotic platforms and surgical innovation, and his research is widely published in top urology journals. A Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Dr. Shakuri-Rad combines clinical excellence with a forward-looking vision for innovation and mentorship. Through his work, he continues to shape the future of urology while bringing world-class care to patients in West Virginia and beyond.
