Zachary Bauman, DO, MHA, FACOS, FACS is a Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. He did my medical school training at Des Monies University and completed his general surgery resident at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in the Detroit, MI area. He completed a surgical critical care fellowship at Henry ford Hospital in Detroit. From there he ventured to Tucson, AZ where he completed a second fellowship in trauma and acute care surgery. He started as a staff surgeon at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2016 and have been there ever since. He currently serves at the Trauma Medical Director, Medical Director for the Chest Wall Injury Program, and Medical Director for Surgical Safety. He has a passion for trauma and chest wall injury and is actively involved in making Nebraska Medicine a safer organization, especially from a surgical and procedural aspect.
