Jeremy Conklin, DO, JD, LLM, MBA, MPH, FACOS, FCLM, is a trauma surgeon at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and attorney and adjunct health law professor at Seattle University School of Law. He is board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Trauma and Critical Care Surgery, and General Surgery. Dr. Conklin received training in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX; Trauma and Critical Care Surgery at the Reading Medical Center / University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA; Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY; and General Surgery at Geisinger Health Systems in Danville, PA. Jeremy attended Medical School at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME on an Armed Forces Health Professionals Scholarship. While treating patients Jeremy noticed disparities in the US healthcare system, which negatively affected the health of his patients. To combat the disparities he witnessed, Jeremy enrolled in the evening law program at Seattle University and completed his Juris Doctorate in 2021. After completing his Juris Doctorate, Jeremy attended the University of Washington School of Law and obtained his LLM in Health Law. Jeremy is a member of the Washington State Bar Association. From April 2020 to June 2020, Jeremy worked at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, assisting with New York City's COVID-19 pandemic repsonse. Jeremy also holds an MPH in Health Policy, Management, and Behavior from the State University of New York at Albany and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the State University of New York Polytechnical Institute. As a veteran of the Army, Jeremy served as a medic in support of Operation Joint Endeavor, the NATO peace keeping mission in Bosnia. He also served as a physician supporting the war on terror.
