Justin Koenig DO, FACOS, FACS Trauma Medical Director, Trauma and General Surgeon Beacon Medical Group: Elkhart General Hospital Dr. Koenig is Board certified General, Trauma and Acute Surgeon, employed with the Beacon Health System in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan. He currently serves as the Trauma Medical Director and Site Director for General Surgery at Elkhart General Hospital. Prior to assuming this role, Dr Koenig was an active duty military trauma surgeon, who helped establish a joint military/civilian trauma system in Colorado Springs, CO. During his military duty, Dr Koenig completed a combat operation deployment to Africa an additional deployment to Italy. He then returned home to the midwest and enjoys maintaing a small classic car collection in his spare time.
