Dr. George Joseph Myers IV is a board-certified General Surgeon with experience in both rural clinical practice and medical leadership. He earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine–Georgia Campus, following a magna cum laude undergraduate degree in Biology from Georgia Southern University. He completed his surgical training at Mercy Health–St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, where he served as Co-chief Resident in General Surgery.
Since 2017, Dr. Myers has practiced at Memorial Hospital and Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia, providing surgical and wound care to the community. In addition to his clinical work, he holds leadership roles, including Chief of Surgery, Director of ICU, Chair of the Infection Prevention Committee, Chair of the P&T committee as well as the hospital’s Medical Executive Committee. He also remains an active member of the Georgia Surgical Society.
Dr. Myers resides in Southwest Georgia with his wife Lindsay and their two sons, and in his spare time enjoys offshore fishing in the Gulf of America!
